Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, has been found guilty on three felony charges related to his illegal firearm purchase in 2018. Hunter pleaded not guilty in October following his indictment by special counsel David Weiss.

This federal trial revolved around his purchase of an illegal firearm while allegedly addicted to drugs. He is now convicted of two counts pertaining to false statements in buying the firearm (for writing that he was not addicted to drugs on a federal gun-purchase form), and a third count of obtaining a firearm while addicted to drugs.

This is the first time in American history that the son of a president faces a criminal trial.

As Valuetainment reported in October, Hunter Biden had his gun possession charge dropped in the trial by U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika. It was replaced by the three-count indictment that he was found guilty of today. Hunter admitted he was “struggling with addiction” when he acquired the revolver in question in 2018.
