Undercover journalist James O’Keefe published a video on Thursday exposing the Walt Disney Company for openly and proudly discriminating against White men in corporate hiring and casting for its film and television projects.

In the hidden camera footage obtained by the O’Keefe Media Group, a senior executive at Disney-owned 20th Century Television identified as Micheal Giordano describes how the company explicitly states that White males will not be considered for certain roles, deliberately depriving them of promotions and leadership roles.

“Certainly there have been times when you know, there’s no way we’re hiring a white male for this,” he said, going on to reveal that this “unspoken rule” occasion has “times when it’s spoken” explicitly.

Giordano also revealed that Disney will sometimes out directives stating “There’s no way we’re hiring a white male for this role.” However, Disney “is very careful how they message that to agents.”

Later in the video, the executive claims that the discrimination extends into Disney’s corporate structure as well, and even reports that he has suffered from it personally.

“As far as Disney’s concerned, I’m a white male. And that’s not who they’re looking to promote at the moment,” he said, mentioning that even a half-Black applicant was turned down because he wasn’t “Black enough.”

“It feels like that, at some point, there’s going to be a lawsuit,” Giordano admitted.
