“Consumers are increasingly looking to get their information, insights and entertainment directly from the voices and brands they trust across these platforms,” said Cheesbrough. “We see tremendous opportunities to drive additional scale in genres such as sports, news and entertainment.”

Red Seat Ventures produces a variety of audio and video podcasts and represents notable figures like Megyn Kelly, Tucker Carlson, and Bill O’Reilly–all of whom formerly worked as Fox News contributors.

The deal positions Red Seat Ventures to expand its services while maintaining the independence of its creators’ brands.

Cheesbrough emphasized the growth potential in the creator economy, which is increasingly influential in media consumption.

This acquisition aligns with Fox’s strategy to bolster its streaming platform and capitalize on the rising demand for direct-to-consumer content.
