With just over 24 hours remaining until the first Republican Primary Debate, the Trump-affiliated Make America Great Again PAC published a webpage revealing Donald Trump’s opinion of the event he notably will not be attending. As the former president and current GOP frontrunner sees it, this debate is nothing more than a battle over who deserves to be his new vice president.

“The race for the vice presidency kicks off tomorrow night!” declared the PAC’s X account.

The post also featured a link to a website featuring cutouts of each of Trump’s rival candidates beneath a banner for the “2024 Vice Presidential Debate.” Supporters are invited to pick their favorite “vice presidential candidate” and learn more about how each one has supported Trump in the past.

“Donald Trump has always put America first. He has earned four more years as President,” says former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley’s page.

“Trump’s result with Black and Hispanic voters subverts the woke narrative. Best GOP performance among nonwhite voters since 1960,” declares entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis states that “I think that Donald Trump has done a better job appointing judges to both the U.S. Supreme Court and the Appeals Court than any other president in my lifetime, including one of my heroes Ronald Reagan.”

Similar statements are attributed to the other candidates, all of whom have praised Trump and highlighted his accomplishments in recent years.

The MAGA PAC website provides a humorous backdrop for the upcoming debate, in which DeSantis, Ramaswamy, and Haley will be joined by South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, North Dakota Governor Doug Bergum, and former Vice President Mike Pence.

Trump, who currently boasts a 40-point lead with 55.9% support, opted to skip the debate entirely in favor of a prerecorded interview with Tucker Carlson that will premiere at the same time as the event.

The Republican Primary Debate will air exclusively on Fox News from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET on Wednesday, August 23.
