Just when you thought you’ve seen it all, Burger King launched “The Real Cheeseburger,” debuting a meatless sandwich with twenty slices of cheese between their signature buns.
The sandwich made waves on social media platforms like Twitter and TikTok, with users asking an incredibly fair question – will this extra cheesy burger affect their stomachs? We’re guessing a solid ‘YES.’

The item launched on Thai menus Sunday and is currently being sold for 109 Thai baht ($3.10), compared to the usual price of a burger at 380 baht ($10.9).
And in the case that 20 slices aren’t enough cheesy goodness, customers can add two more slices for 50 cents. The sandwich totals out to roughly 2,260 calories, according to some users posting videos of them trying the sandwich.
The fast food chain has dubbed the sandwich the “Super Cheeseburger.”

Burger King Thailand even took to Facebook, writing: “This is no joke, this is for real.”
According to one Burger King branch in Bangkok on Tuesday, a shift manager needed to stop taking delivery orders so they could ensure enough stock was available for potential walk-in diners.
“If you go to Burger King and order this let me know so I can block and report you,” one Twitter user wrote.
Another user tweeted, “I love cheese but that is a heart attack. Hard pass.”
It is nothing new for food chain stores to tailor products according to the audience and culture they are marketing towards. Apparently, cheese is popular amongst young customers in the region. Burger King chain stores in Thailand also include salmon katsu burgers, Burger King rice including chicken rice with tamarind sauce, salted chick with sticky rice and tempura nuggets, and more.
