After the major company backlash Bud Light faced following its partnership with TikTok influencer Dylan Mulvaney a few months ago, both marketing executives responsible and initially placed on temporary leave, no longer work for the brand.
According to a source inside Anheuser-Busch, texts were obtained by the Daily Caller on Tuesday, stating that Group Vice President for Marketing Daniel Blake and Bud Light Marketing Vice President Alissa Heinerscheid are “gone, gone.”

“To my understanding if we publicly announced the word ‘fire’ it opens up the potential for them to sue us. That’s why we said, ‘leave of absence,’” the source, (granting anonymity) said in a text message.
“The wholesalers would have had an absolute HAY DAY with leadership if they didn’t remove her,” the source also said. “To be fair, Daniel Blake was actually awesome. I think he was just caught in the crossfire.”
“Wholesalers were told they are both gone for good by leadership during in person conversations. They already shifted all their direct reports to new people and head of marketing,” the source added from another test sent.
Bud Light lost its top spot in America’s favorite and top-selling beer earlier in June due to a massive U.S. boycott commencing after Dylan Mulvaney showed off a personalized beer featuring his face on the can. Bud Light had also released a rainbow designed can with the words “celebrate everyone’s identity,” with different pronouns printed on the bottle.
Initial statements from the Wall Street Journal said that Heinerscheid and Blake had taken a leave of absence from the company: “Given the circumstances, Alissa has decided to take a leave of absence, which we support. Daniel has also decided to take a leave of absence.”
Apparently, the leave of absence is now permanent.
