Authorities reported a bomb threat at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport today, according to CNN.
The police are investigating the case and have made an arrest. The commotion is delaying flights, halting traffic, and stopping security checkpoints.
According to CNN’s source, the suspect parked at the airport’s curb and claimed to have a bomb in their vehicle. Police arrested the person, and called in a bomb squad to open an investigation.

It caused the closure of two checkpoints in the main terminal, while two others remain open. The threat occurred in the airport’s public area.
Police closed the access road to the airport. “Vehicular traffic approaching the airport is currently being held,” the airport said. “Those in the terminal are advised to remain in place at this time.”
At 4:15 PM, the airport’s social media announced the police had cleared the vehicle in question.
UPDATE: Law enforcement has cleared vehicle in question. Please be advised roadway operations will slowly return to normal.
For now, Upper Level roadway is open for both passenger dropoff/pickup.
