X owner Elon Musk will launch a massive lawsuit against leftist watchdog outlet Media Matters for America after its latest “fraudulent attack” against him and his free speech platform.
The “thermonuclear” litigation, expected to be filed “the split second court opens on Monday,” comes in response to a Media Matters report accusing X of running advertiser content alongside “pro-Nazi” user posts, leading to a pullout of several major sponsors.
In a report published on Thursday, Media Matters described the effect Elon Musk’s “descent into white nationalist and antisemitic conspiracy theories” is having on companies that advertise on X (formerly Twitter). Despite CEO Linda Yaccarino’s efforts to turn X into a profitable, advertiser-friendly platform, Media Matters reportedly found ads from brands like Apple, Bravo (owned by NBC Universal), IBM, Oracle, and Xfinity/Comcast alongside content praising Adolf Hitler.
Just one day before Media Matters accused Musk of platforming neo-Nazis, White nationalists, and Holocaust deniers, the billionaire also drew condemnation from the White House for promoting the idea that Jews “push dialectical hatred against Whites.” (Read more HERE.)

In response to the Media Matters report, Apple paused its $180 million advertising campaign on X, followed soon after by Disney, Lionsgate Entertainment, IBM, and others. Facing a massive loss of advertising revenue on the historically unprofitable platform, Musk declared that the outlet’s report was a “fraudulent” accusation meant to target free speech.
“The split second court opens on Monday, X Corp will be filing a thermonuclear lawsuit against Media Matters and ALL those who colluded in this fraudulent attack on our company,” Musk wrote on X. “Their board, their donors, their network of dark money, all of them…”
His statement continued by revealing the underhanded methods Media Matters used to obtain its so-called evidence, which included creating alternate accounts and “repeatedly refreshing their timelines to find a rare instance of ads serving next the content they chose to follow.”

Further analysis of the screenshots Media Matters provided has cast further doubt on their validity, with some suggesting that they might be outright fabrications.
Media Matters, which Musk has previously described as “pure evil,” has a long history of launching advertiser boycotts against conservative and right-wing organizations — many of which have involved selective editing practices and misleading information. Notable examples include attacking Fox News advertisers and calling on social media sites to block the Hunter Biden laptop story.
A statement from Media Matters President Angelo Carusone responded to the lawsuit by calling Musk “a bully who threatens meritless lawsuits in an attempt to silence reporting that he even confirmed is accurate.”
“Musk admitted the ads at issue ran alongside the pro-Nazi content we identified,” he continued. “If he does sue us, we will win.”
With so many major advertisers threatening to pull their support from X, Musk’s supporters — primarily individuals and organizations from the right — have pledged to increase their ad spending on the app.
They attack Musk because they hate freedom, and they hate freedom because it threatens their power to control the narrative. It really is that simple.
As others are pulling their ad spend to punish Musk for the crime of letting free people speak, the Bee is committing to…
