Es una parte integral del judaísmo, al igual que el Padre, el Hijo y el Espíritu Santo lo son en el cristianismo. Negar el sionismo es como negar aspectos fundamentales de la fe. Zion se menciona numerosas veces en la Biblia hebrea y el sionismo simplemente significa que los judíos tienen derecho a regresar a su país de origen.
