President Zelensky says Ukraine’s recovery is not only critical for Ukrainians but for “the preservation of democracies worldwide.”

On Monday, July 4th, Ukraine announced a $750 billion plan to rebuild the nation.

President Zelensky is “urging the international community to join the greatest contribution to the maintenance of global peace.”

“The reconstruction of Ukraine is not a local project, is not a project of one nation, but a common task of the entire democratic world — all countries, all countries who can say they are civilized,” he said during the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Switzerland. “Restoring Ukraine means restoring the principles of life, restoring the space of life, restoring everything that makes humans human.”

The Ukrainian government is looking to repair schools, hospitals, government buildings, housing, and basic infrastructures such as water and gas pipes.

Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed victory over the Luhansk region on Monday after over four months of fighting.

Russian forces are now looking to “exert dominance” over Donetsk, just south of Luhansk in the Donbas region.

Moscow in April claimed its goal in its “special military operation” is to gain “full control” over eastern and southern Ukraine, but Ukrainian officials have warned they believe Russia will make another attempt at Kyiv.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal presented a $750 billion recovery plan that would address the immediate needs of the country, with more plans to come.

The plan’s funding should come from “the confiscated assets of Russia and Russian oligarchs,” according to Shmyhal.

Vice president of the European Union’s executive branch, Valdis Dombrovskis, said there would be “legal obstacles” to using confiscated Russian assets as it would involve criminal law.

“But we think it’s important that according to the principle of ‘aggressor pays’ it’s also Russia’s assets which are directed to the reconstruction of Ukraine,”  he added.

RUSSIA & UKRAINE: TIMELINE OF EVENTS

An interminable and unwinnable war in Europe? That’s what NATO leaders fear and are bracing for as Russia’s war in Ukraine grinds into its third month with little sign of a decisive military victory for either side, and no resolution in sight. On February 20th, 2022, VP Harris blurted out that Ukraine should join NATO which was a direct violation of the Belgrade Agreement.

Ukraine, the 3rd largest nuclear power at the time, gave up its nuclear weapons and NATO promised not to invade as did Russia provided Ukraine was to remain NEUTRAL.

Then 3 days later, Zelensky announced that he would pursue nuclear weapons to defend against Russia.

The next day, Putin invaded to protect the Donbas on February 24th.

Many world leaders are beginning to wake up to the lies and propaganda of this Ukrainian hoax of a war. This was all done deliberately because Europe NEEDS to default on the debt which they can no longer sustain… peoples’ pensions will be wiped out and millions of people will likely storm the parliaments…

The only escape for those in government is to create a war to hide the collapse.

A newly discovered document from March 1991 shows US, UK, French, and German officials discussing a pledge made to Russia that NATO will not expand to Poland and beyond.

Its publication by the German magazine Der Spiegel on Friday proves Moscow right and NATO wrong on the matter.

The minutes of a March 6, 1991 meeting in Bonn between political directors of the foreign ministries of the US, UK, France, and Germany contain multiple references to “2+4” talks on German unification in which the West made it “clear” to the Soviet Union that NATO will not expand past the eastern borders of Germany.

“We made it clear to the Soviet Union – in the 2+4 talks, as well as in other negotiations – that we do not intend to benefit from the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Eastern Europe,” the document quotes US Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Canada Raymond Seitz.

“NATO should not expand to the east, either officially or unofficially,” Seitz added.

A British representative also mentions the existence of a “general agreement” that membership of NATO for eastern European countries is “unacceptable.”

“We had made it clear during the 2+4 negotiations that we would not extend NATO beyond the Elbe,” said West German diplomat Juergen Hrobog. “We could not therefore offer Poland and others membership in NATO.”

NATO has added 14 member states east of Germany since end of First Cold War, violating the Treaty of Belgrade.

Since the end of the First Cold War and the overthrow of the Soviet Union,14 countries in Central and Eastern Europe have joined the US-led NATO military alliance – all countries east of Germany, in flagrant violation of the promise not to expand.

In 1999, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Poland joined NATO.

In 2004, Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia joined as well.

In 2009, Albania and Croatia joined.

In 2017, Montenegro joined.

In 2020, North Macedonia joined.

NATO has also discussed the possibility of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, and Ukraine joining in the future.

In December of 2021, the Russian Federation requested that NATO agree to a series of security guarantees, including a promise not to add any more members.

The United States and NATO rejected Moscow’s request to compromise, causing Russia to invade the Ukraine shortly after.
