After a Secret Service agent spotted Routh with a rifle near the golf course, he attempted to flee but was arrested shortly after. Routh has been charged with firearm-related offenses and is scheduled to appear in court for a detention hearing, where prosecutors will argue for his continued detention due to public safety concerns.
