For anyone that flies frequently, you are well aware that there’s a good chance you’ll be on board with numerous weirdos, whack jobs, and just odd ducks.

Flying frequently is not nearly as glamorous as it was in the 1970s, for many reasons, and here’s a brand new one.

A woman on a recent Delta Airlines flight allegedly began to breastfeed her pet cat.  Wait, there’s more.  She refused to stop doing it after getting caught.

Take a minute to let those details sink in….

Okay, here’s the rest of the story.

It took place on a flight from Syracuse, New York, and Atlanta, and there is visual evidence on social media that it did happen.

The image circulated online that describes the cat nursing appeared to be a screengrab of a message sent using ACARS, the Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System. That is what pilots use to communicate via text message to people on the ground.

On that message, it says a passenger sitting in seat 13A “is breast-feeding a cat and would not put cat back in carrier.”

The pilot asked that the situation be handled when the plane landed by Delta’s “Red Coat” team. Those are “elite airport customer service experts” who are trained to address issues like these.

A flight attendant who worked that route appears to refer to the incident on her TikTok account.  She provided some details and context to the incredibly bizarre incident.

“This woman had one of those, like, hairless cats swaddled up in a blanket so it looked like a baby. Her shirt was up and she was trying to get the cat to latch and she wouldn’t put the cat back in the carrier. And the cat was screaming for its life.
