Ron DeSantis has a friend and fan in Hollywood; his name is Bill Maher.

The talk show host, now recognized as a leading voice of reason in the divided States of America, defended DeSantis on his most recent episode of “Real Time with Bill Maher.”

“The reason why I think DeSantis is so strong is because he can do both things. He can do the performance art that seems to have you so exercised to the base, most of which I don’t really know if it’s that damaging.”

Here’s more from Maher.

“So what I’m saying is he can do both that — But he yes, he, he knows how to rile up the base. I agree. He’s a politician — but he also can be a normal governor. In other words, after the storm, he can stand with President Biden like a normal governor does and work with them and then send some migrants to Martha’s Vineyard. You know, and that’s a very powerful thing to have both those elements.”

Maher’s common sense approach would eventually freak out his progressive panelists.  One was Democratic Representative Ro Khanna from California, who started freaking out about DeSantis not having a foreign policy agenda.

Maher pounced, informing Khanna how idiotic that comment was, pointing out that Florida is not part of the United Nations.

Maher made a prediction for 2024, saying he thinks Biden would beat Trump, but he’s not sure Biden could take down DeSantis. His advice to the Florida Governor is to run now.
