Last year, Arnold Schwarzenegger and LeBron James teamed up on a vitamin supplement commercial that could have driven many to drink.

They have made amends for it, teaming up to offer that drink. Schwarzenegger did not terminate his friendship with James. They’ve gone all in on that by investing together in the tequila and mezcal brand Lobos 1707, according to Page Six.

Schwarzenegger, 73, was right to believe in James all along. He supported his friend from the time he came to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018 and was proven right this year when the Lakers won the NBA championship.

“LeBron, you are a champion,” Schwarzenegger said in a 2018 Twitter video. “You’re the best. You are the only one who can really make the Lakers great again. So go for it. Do it. I’m counting on you. Because there is no magic pill. I’m going to watch you and the rest of team every single time. Hasta la vista, baby.”

The stars have invested together before as clients of power investor Paul Wachter. Adam Mendelsohn, who was Schwarzenegger’s chief of staff when he was California governor, is a longtime adviser to James.

“If it tastes great in Akron, Ohio, I know it’s the right thing,” James said after first enjoying the tequila while on a yacht off the coast of Italy.

Lobos 1707, priced at $45 to $150 per bottle, already had a mix of entertainment and sports celebrity investors with P Diddy, 50 Cent, Michael Jordan and James’ Lakers teammate, Anthony Davis.

James, Jordan and Davis rarely pass up on a shot.
