For a couple hours, it looked like Wayne County, Michigan, was about to become the center of the election fraud firestorm as two Republicans on the Wayne County Board of Canvassers voted against certifying the results. The two board members reportedly spotted discrepancies, as ballot counts did not match up in 71% of the county’s precincts. The 2-2 deadlock vote to not certify the ballots set off a firestorm from the left.

Democrats almost immediately accused the Republicans board members of racism, and following two hours of intense backlash and public pressure from Democrats, the two Republicans agreed to certify the ballots.

Jonathan Kinloch, one of the two Democrats on the panel, said the large number of discrepancies were the result of “human error,” and called it “reckless and irresponsible” to not certify the results.

As part of an agreement to certify the results, the Wayne County Board reportedly agreed to ask Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson to audit the election process and work towards reforms that would prevent these types of discrepancies in the future.

Jenna Ellis, a senior legal advisor for the Trump 2020 campaign, tweeted out a clip of herself appearing on Fox News to discuss the situation in Wayne County with a caption saying, “In Wayne Co, MI, 71% of their precincts’ ballot counts don’t match total number of voters! 2 board members refused to certify results, then suddenly caved amid threats. America doesn’t yield to the mob! President @realDonaldTrump is FIGHTING for TRUTH & to count all LEGAL votes!”

This is just a hunch, but it sure sounds like despite Wayne County now certifying the results, we will still hear plenty about Wayne County in the coming days.
