Radical ideology seems to be the name of the main game in mainstream news networks lately, and Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy went on air to yet again, affirm the obvious.

In particular, the gender ideology topic has spread like wildfire and Ramaswamy took to NBC Chuck Todd’s Meet the Press to confidently discuss gender’s being strictly male and female.

In his segment, Todd asks “Are you confident that you know that gender is as binary as you are describing it? Are you confident that there isn’t a spectrum? Do you know this as a scientist?”

Ramaswamy responds with “I am. There are two ‘X’ chromosomes if you’re a woman, if you have ‘XY’ chromosomes, you’re a man.” He continues, “Gender dysphoria for more of our history all the way through the DSM-5 has been characterized as a mental health disorder and I don’t think it’s compassionate to affirm that. I think that’s cruelty.”

The candidate continues his argument with adults getting to the root of the problem when a child is asking for help. The questions that need answers need to be based off of their family history, school and friend dynamics and overall life. Rather than change our medical understanding from the last hundred years, it’s important to understand the traumas these kids may be needing healing from.

When Todd pressed back with alleged cited research and science, Ramaswamy responded with the problem of folks being manipulated in rushing gender reassignment surgeries before diagnosing the real problem.

“We’ve created a culture that teaches parents that they’re being bigoted or that they’re bad people if they don’t actually take those steps,” he said. “So, part of what I think is, listen, gender dysphoria for the rare few people who have suffered, it is a condition of suffering. My question is: Why on Earth are we going out of our way to create even more of it? And there’s no doubt that the cultural movement in this country, even education, is creating more gender dysphoria.”

With the rising number of America’s youth identifying as any and everything under the sky besides their actual biological gender, it is fair to say that Ramaswamy makes strong points, across the board.
