Former President Donald Trump has laid low most of the last month. It looks like his hibernation is over, and he is ready to roar.

Banned from Twitter, Trump went old school Tuesday, writing a letter on official presidential stationary, blasting Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell with a viscous 1-2 punch of professional and personal smackdowns.

It was classic Trump, going all-in on the attack and holding nothing back.

He referred to McConnell as a “dour, sullen and unsmiling political hack.”

He was just getting warmed up. “The Republican Party can never again be respected or strong with political ‘leaders’ like Sen. Mitch McConnell at its helm,” Trump began in the letter.

“McConnell’s dedication to business as usual, status quo policies, together with his lack of political insight, wisdom, skill, and personality, has rapidly driven him from Majority Leader to Minority Leader, and it will only get worse,” Trump continued.

“The Democrats and Chuck Schumer play McConnell like a fiddle—they’ve never had it so good—and they want to keep it that way! We know our America First agenda is a winner, not McConnell’s Beltway First agenda or Biden’s America Last.”

Now for some of the highlights of his personal pummeling of the Kentucky Senator. It centered around China. McConnell’s wife Elaine Chao served in Trump’s cabinet as Transportation Secretary, but resigned days after the Jan. 6 riot.

Chao’s father is involved in shipping and international trade, and founded the Foremost Group after he left from Taiwan in 1958.

We’ll let Trump take it from there.  “Likewise, McConnell has no credibility on China because of his family’s substantial Chinese business holdings.  He does nothing on this tremendous economic and military threat.”

Trump’s 622-word letter never let up on the attack of McConnell. He said the Senator should be prepared for a fight the next time he runs for reelection.  “He will never do what needs to be done, or what is right for our Country. Where necessary and appropriate, I will back primary rivals who espouse Making America Great Again and our policy of America First. We want brilliant, strong, thoughtful, and compassionate leadership.”

Trump has lots of sheets of stationary and great wife at Mar-a-Lago to keep his printer humming.  I’m sure he’s already thinking about his next letter.
