Donald Trump makes HISTORY as the first former president to be raided by the F.B.I.

The F.B.I. raided former President Trump’s home in Palm Beach, Florida on Monday afternoon as part of an ongoing investigation being conducted.

Why did the F.B.I. raid Trump’s home?

If Trump is charged and found guilty, he will be disqualified from running for president in 2024.

A federal violation would disqualify Trump From running for president.

Supposedly, because Trump took at least 15 boxes of official records with him to Florida (including documents clearly marked as classified), the F.B.I. opened an investigation leading to the raid yesterday. The F.B.I. raid of the Mar-A-Lago estate was a court-approved search.

The former President delayed returning 15 boxes of the material requested by officials with the National Archives for many months. Trump previously confirmed that he had agreed to return certain records to the Archives, calling it “an ordinary and routine process.”

The case was referred to the Justice Department by the archives early this year.

“It is NOT clear what prompted the search.”

Some sources are reporting that “it is not clear what prompted the search,” though people familiar with the investigation say it was related to the “possible mishandling” of classified documents.

Several boxes were taken away and no doors were kicked down. The search was finished by late afternoon.

Just ONE “official” violation of the law is enough to disqualify Trump from becoming president in 2024.

Any mishandling could be in violation of a law requiring Trump to preserve his records and phone calls of his official duties as president. If he were to be charged and found guilty of willfully hiding or destroying confidential and classified materials, some legal experts say he could be barred from being president again.

A congressional panel investigating “Jan. 6” is working to build a case that Former President Donald Trump broke the law in attempting to overturn his 2020 election defeat.

The U.S. House of Representatives Oversight Committee is expanding its investigation into Trump’s actions regarding the “destruction and removal of White House records.”

The committee requested that the archives be turned over, prompting the FBI raid. Trump previously confirmed that he had agreed to return certain records to the Archives, calling it “an ordinary and routine process.”

Last week, the committee requested to receive all of Alex Jones’ leaked text messages which surfaced in his recent trial to support their case.

Steve Bannon was recently found guilty of contempt in a case related to January 6th.
