He said that Florida had the third-highest death rate of any state during the pandemic, while New York ranked fourth. Trump also went on to say that what DeSantis is doing to Disney is terrible because it’s costing thousands of people their jobs. It seems that Trump is ready to unleash the full force of his insult arsenal at DeSantis now that it’s official.
It’s likely just a matter of time before Trump starts criticizing DeSantis for anything from his strict abortion law to his social awkwardness. One thing is clear, Trump is unquestionably furious at DeSantis for challenging his presidential run.
It will be very interesting to see what type of strategy DeSantis uses to respond. Will he continue being silent, or will he eventually fire back?
