Former President Donald Trump accused Vice President Kamala Harris of “copying” his campaign agenda after she announced plans to eliminate taxes on tips during a rally in Las Vegas on Saturday. Harris’s proposal mirrors one Trump introduced at his own Las Vegas rally on June 9, 2024.
“When I am president, we will continue our fight for working families in America, including raising the minimum wage and eliminating taxes on tips for service and hospitality workers,” Harris said.

Trump quickly responded on his social media platform, Truth Social, saying, “Kamala Harris, whose honeymoon period is ending and who is starting to get hammered in the polls, just copied my no taxes on tips policy.”
On Monday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre echoed Harris’ statement, claiming that President Biden also supports eliminating taxes on tips.
