Tom Brady publicly – as usual – is working the system perfectly when it comes to describing his Super Bowl celebration-parade antics.

Privately, he may be grinning ear to ear and doesn’t regret a thing. We’ll likely never know whether his most recent explanation via ABC’s “Good Morning America” was 100% sincere.

Brady left the New England Patriots, a team with which he’d won six Super Bowl championship Lombardi Trophies, to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers – and won another title with Tampa.

Then came the celebration that included tossing the trophy over open water while perhaps overserved.

In the “GMA” interview with Michael Strahan on Wednesday, Brady said all the right things.

“First of all, there was not a lot going through my mind at that point. That was … not smart for a couple reasons,” Brady told Strahan. “One is, if we drop it, that’s a little bit of a problem.

“But the worst thing that could happen is the edges on that trophy are so sharp, and had those things clipped one of my boys in the other boat, it would have been an ugly parade.”

Fortunately, a professional receiver – Buccaneers tight end Cameron Brate — caught the trophy.

Brady, not a big drinker by all accounts, very likely had a good deal to drink the day of the parade. His unsteady walk during the celebration made the social media rounds.

And Brady used his own social media platform to admit using some avocado tequila: “Noting (sic) to see her…just litTle avoCado tequila,” Brady wrote.

If he doesn’t recall every event of that day, it’s understandable.

“From what I remember, yes it was pretty cool,” Brady said of the Super Bowl celebration.

Yep, Brady is still winning at life and owes nobody a further explanation.
