It’s been a rough year for Karen’s, and now even more bad news for a once common name.  The popularity of the name is falling fast, and the data from the Social Security Administration backs it up.

In 2020, there were a total of 325 Karen’s born in the United States, an incredibly low number for a name that was handed out by the thousands just a few years ago.  Didn’t you know at least a few people named Karen five years ago?

The name’s ranking fell 171 slots the past year, and Karen is now sitting at #831 of the most popular names in the U.S., the lowest it’s been in 96 years.

Back in 1965 there were 33,000 babies taking the name Karen, but with the name being attached to obnoxious women doing things perceived by the masses as insensitive and stupid, most new parents are running from it now.

The names registering the top three most popular positions in 2021 for girls were Olivia, Emma, and Ava, which has been registering big numbers for the past 16 years.

For boys, if you named your little guy Liam, Noah, or Oliver, be prepared to meet a few others in his kindergarten class in five years.
