“If only a professional athlete or celebrity would come out with a line of liquor. It seems to be the one thing the world is really lacking now,”… said nobody, ever.
Add Steph Curry to the list of A-listers looking to cash in on this fairly overdone craze.
He’s not in the tequila business like The Rock, Michael Jordan, Kendall Jenner, James Harden, or George Clooney. He’s leaving the gin game to Ryan Reynolds and is cool not making millions with a vodka like Diddy. Steph is attaching his name to a Gentleman’s Cut Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. It probably won’t help your accuracy shooting 3s, but it could be a good way to relax after a hard game.
Here’s part of a statement someone wrote for the greatest shooter in NBA history.
“Celebrations take on many different forms, from intimate gatherings to major milestones, and at the center of each memorable moment is a spirit rooted in history and tradition. I’m proud to have helped carefully craft a new signature Kentucky Straight Bourbon, Gentleman’s Cut. This rich, complex, and bold bourbon is the perfect offering to commemorate life’s great occasions and will be part of a raised-glass toasting moment in the lives of my fans, friends, and family.”
Curry is very much a hands-on guy in every aspect of this new bourbon. He played a role in every aspect, from manufacturing to marketing.
It should be available very soon – with a price tag of just under $80 for a 750ml bottle.
If Steph has a lousy shooting night next season, we might have a reason why.
