Well, that didn’t take long. The attorney Amber Heard provided more than her allotted 15 minutes of fame to, who had her legal lunch handed to her by a Fairfax, Virginia jury on Wednesday, jumped in front of the cameras on the Today Show Thursday to tell the world how unfair it was. Oh, and they are going to appeal.

“She has some excellent grounds for it.”

Why? Well, social media, for one thing. Evidentiary decisions for another.  Here’s a third she didn’t mention – her client is kind of unlikeable. But Elaine Bredehoft would prefer to say it’s something else.  This is what she told Savannah Guthrie.

“She was demonized here. A number of things were allowed in this court that should not have been allowed, and it caused the jury to be confused.”

You can see why Bredehoff is bitter.  She might not get paid if we believe what she said on the Today Show, that her client Heard is essentially broke, unable to pay the $10.4 million she owes her ex-husband pirate/movie star/pop culture icon.

When pressed if Heard would cut the check, here’s what she said.

“Oh no. Absolutely not.”

The jury in this trial was not sequestered, which means even though they were told not to, you’d have to assume they were looking and listening to the buzz about the most prominent celebrity trial in years. Here’s more from the losing lawyer.

“They went home every night. They have families. The families are on social media. We had a 10-day break in the middle because of a Judicial Conference. There’s no way they couldn’t have been influenced by it, and it was horrible. It really, really was lopsided. …It was like the Roman Colosseum, how they view this whole case.”

Nobody likes a sore loser. Especially fans of the movie “Aquaman 2.” The petition on change.org circulating to get Heard booted off the sequel is close to hitting 4.5 million signatures.
