Despite wrapping up his 2020 season, Tiger Woods will be taking to the course a couple more times this year for a nationally telecast tournament. The PNC Championship is a tournament in which pro golfers play with a family member. Woods will be playing with his 11-year-old son, Charlie Woods.

“I can’t tell you how excited I am to be playing with Charlie in our first official tournament together,” Woods said. “It’s been great watching him progress as a junior golfer, and it will be incredible playing as a team together in the PNC Championship.”

The 36-hole scramble, two-day event will be held on December 19 and 20 at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Florida. The tournament has been pairing major champions with their kids and other family members since 1995 and has hosted Arnold Palmer with his grandson and Fuzzy Zoeller with his daughter.

Other notable participants for this year include Annika Sorenstam, playing with her father; and Tom and Justin Thomas, playing with their father, Kentucky club pro Mike Thomas.

Players are required to have won a major or the Player’s Championship to play in the tournament, and their partner must not hold a PGA Tour card. Other players for this year’s event include Greg Norman, John Daly, Nick Price, Gary Player and Lee Trevino.

The tournament will be televised by NBC.

The winning duo receives the Willie Park Trophy, which basically resembles a classy red leather WWE Championship belt.
