As soon as President Trump announced on Twitter that he and Melania had tested positive for COVID-19, it was only a matter of time before things got crazy on social media. Tom Arnold, who used to be married to Roseanne Barr, was one of the first in line to fire off something moderately distasteful. He shared what he claimed to be the personal cell phone number of Hope Hicks on Twitter, just a few hours after she had tested positive.

“Silent thoughts and prayers aren’t enough for national treasure Hope Hicks,” the actor wrote. “She needs to hear them.”

The tweet that President Trump sent confirming his positive test was a history maker itself. It has become his most-liked tweet ever. “Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!”

The message blasted out to his 86+ million followers received 1.5 million likes, along with 870,000 retweets and 500,000+ comments.

“Following PCR-confirmation of the President’s diagnosis, as a precautionary measure he received a single 8-gram dose of Regeneron’s polyclonal antibody cocktail,” stated a memo released Friday afternoon by Dr. Sean P. Conley, the president’s physician. “He completed the infusion without incident.”

Conley updated Melania Trump’s condition, saying that the first lady “remains well with only a mild cough and headache, and the remainder of the First Family are well and tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 today.”
