Andrew Giuliani (l) is coming for NY Governor Andrew Cuomo (r) in 2022

Rudy Giuliani is back. Vicariously.

The former NYC Mayor’s son, 35-year old Andrew Giuliani, announced today that he will be in the running for the 2022 NY Governor race.

Referencing the 1971 heavyweight title fight, Andrew told The Post that the Empire State better strap on their seatbelts for a months-long round of turbulent reality TV. “Giuliani vs. Cuomo. Holy smokes. Its Muhammad Ali vs. Joe Frazier. We can sell tickets at Madison Square Garden.”

Just what New Yorkers need after living a year-long train derailment and having Cuomo’s farce of a book shoved down our throats: Another SNL/”Truman Show” hybrid of 2020 Election Year proportions.

Giuliani, braggadocious and clearly drowning in his thirst for the limelight that will most certainly accompany his challenge vs the corrupt Cuomo, said “It would be one of the epic showdowns in the state’s history. I know we can defeat Andrew Cuomo in 2022. I am going to be the 57th governor of New York.

“I believe we have the best chance to win if I’m the Republican candidate in November,” the pompous candidate and Newsmax contributor continued. “It’s not even close.”

Rudy Giuliani is highly credited for cleaning up the crime in NYC during his tenure as Mayor from 1994-2001. His Manhattan home was raided last month by federal agents during an investigation into business dealings that may have occurred while he was a personal attorney to former President Donald Trump. Andrew Giuliani, who formerly served as Trump’s special assistant, was present at the time, and said that the raids were “absolutely absurd” and “disgusting.”

Cuomo, presently in his 3rd term as governor, is currently under fire for sexual harassment allegations and for dangerously forcing the elderly into nursing homes in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. A coverup and fudging of the numbers to help conceal how many of the elderly were killed by the virus as a result of his actions–and additionally, what information was falsified in his book–is currently being investigated.

“Together we will bring back New York,” Andrew Giuliani tweeted with his promotional campaign video.
