This what you call a royal response.  Less than 48 hours after CBS aired the Oprah Winfrey interview with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. Buckingham Palace has fired off their reaction

Being careful not to get into a “he said, she said” verbal tit for tat, the royal family was measured with the response they sent to Fox News.

“The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan. The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning.  While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.

“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members,” the statement concluded.

There were all kinds of fairly shocking revelations made by Markle. For one thing, she referred to the top senior leaders of the royal family as “The Firm.”

The Duchess of Sussex who moved with Harry and their son Archie to Southern California also talked about suicidal thoughts she’s experienced because of the way she was treated.

There were also hints of possible racist behavior towards the couple’s young son.

The interview garnered huge ratings for CBS, and extremely strong reactions from supporters of both sides.

It goes without saying there will be some tension in the room at the next full family gathering.
