Either Ashley Underwood doesn’t have HBO to see how Larry David treats his TV loves, or David’s character that he brilliantly created and plays on HBO’s hit “Curb Your Enthusiasm” is way more fictional than we think. The 73-year-old comic genius married his girlfriend Underwood in Southern California on Wednesday, according to People magazine.
The New York Times reported in April that David and Underwood met back in 2017 at the birthday party of mutual friend Sacha Baron Cohen.
“We were seated next to each other,” David told the Times of their meeting. “Much to her surprise I left before dessert. I was doing so well, banter-wise, I didn’t want to risk staying too long and blowing the good impression.”
Underwood worked as a producer for Cohen’s Showtime show called “Who Is America?” If you recall in Season 10 of “Curb,” Cohen’s wife, Isla Fisher, played the role of a woman who works as a professional cryer.
Hopefully Larry has another season or two left in him for “Curb,” as HBO lets him decide if and when he wants to continue with another.
