Kanye West’s debut album back in 2004 was titled “The College Dropout,” and now, 16-years later he’s gone from college dropout to presidential AND vice-presidential candidate in the same year. Kanye is never one to shy away from the spotlight. He married a Kardashian for goodness sake, and while you may think he is running as his own VP, he’s actually not.

In California, ballots are currently being mailed out. And while Kanye has publicly announced his candidacy for president as a member of the Birthday Party, in the Golden State, West is on the ballot as a vice presidential pick for the American Independent Party (AIP). If that all sounds confusing, it’s because it is. But wait, there’s more.

Kanye has reportedly selected Michelle Tidball, a Wyoming Christian preacher, to be the VP pick of the Birthday Party, although Tidball has not publicly addressed that she is joining the ticket. As for the American Independent Party, it is roque “Rocky” De La Fuente Guerra who is on the top of the ticket and apparently has selected Kanye to be his running mate, although we also have not publicly heard anything from Kanye about being the AIP VP pick.

Kanye originally announced his 2020 U.S. presidential campaign on Twitter on July 4, 2020. West has qualified for the ballot in 12 states, sued for access in five other states, and missed the deadline to be on the ballot in 29 states. And don’t forget, Kanye also has a day job making music and being really famous.

It’s easier keeping track of Khloe Kardashian’s boyfriends and husbands than following Kanye’s political aspirations.
