Residents of Montecito, including some of the biggest stars on the planet, have been ordered to evacuate pronto because of the risk of flooding as heavy rains pound Southern California.

Montecito is a couple of miles from Santa Barbara and an hour or so outside Los Angeles, and this glitzy seaside city is a magnet for huge celebrities. Oprah, Ellen DeGeneres, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Aniston, Harry and Meghan, and Rob Lowe call the area home. The entire city is affected.

Five years ago, a mudslide in the area was so destructive that 23 people lost their lives, and over 100 houses were destroyed.

The area has dozens of stars and celebrities that live there.

The sheriff of Santa Barbara County, Bill Brown, said almost 10,000 residents would need to plan to get out safely. It’s a dangerous time in parts of California.
