Say this about Alec Baldwin; he’s consistent.  When the man opens his mouth regarding the tragic shooting on the set of the movie Rust, he almost always says something idiotic, ill-timed, or regrettable.

He’s trying to convince sane people, including a group of FBI personnel who just concluded a detailed investigation into the tragedy, that he didn’t pull the trigger on the gun that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Good luck finding someone outside his wife that believes him.

In a CNN interview, TMZ reported that Baldwin has come up with a new gem in his attempt to court public favor and try to sway people who already think he’s nuts. Baldwin said he feared Trump supporters would kill him last fall after the terrible event in New Mexico.  Why? Well, because Trump reacted to the tragedy by claiming Baldwin “probably shot her on purpose.”

Baldwin made the leap that that statement would motivate his base supporters to storm Baldwin’s house, similar to how Baldwin feels Trump instigated the attack on the Capitol building on January 6, 2021.

Here’s the quote to CNN.

“The former president of the United States said [I] probably shot her on purpose. To me, that was the only time I was worried about what was going to happen. Here was Trump, who instructed people to commit acts of violence, and he was pointing the finger at me and saying I was responsible for the death.”

Baldwin also added that he was “1000% nervous” about the scenario of armed Trump supporters taking out the B-list has been.

Is Baldwin delusional? That would have to be determined by trained psychologists or psychiatrists. Is he a moron? It appears to be indisputable.

He’s facing millions in civil lawsuits as a producer of the film and the man who fired the gun, and the DA in New Mexico who oversees cases in that county has not ruled out criminal charges against anyone.
