It’s been a week since the world learned about the Bill and Melinda Gates divorce, but its wheels had been in motion long before this year – and the late Jeffrey Epstein seems to be key player.

No, Melinda was not seeing Epstein. Quite the opposite, in fact. She has a very accurate “creep radar” and it was pinging all over the place after the couple met Epstein.

Bill and Melinda Gates had met Epstein in 2013, and Melinda reportedly told Bill that she found him to be of questionable character and did not think they should be associated with him.

Although a direct line has not really been drawn, it appears Melinda began consulting divorce lawyers around the same time that Bill’s friendship with Epstein was coming to light.

It was October 2019, according to a Wall Street Journal report, that Melinda said the marriage was “irretrievably broken” and was seeking to dissolve it, according to the Journal.

Guilt by association is real.

Bill, probably well aware of Epstein’s checkered past, was a passenger in 2013 on Epstein’s jet — “Lolita Express” — on a trip from New Jersey to Palm Beach, Fla., according to flight records.

Epstein served prison time for soliciting a minor for sex four years earlier than that, and, according to the Journal, Melinda was not pleased that the relationship with Epstein had survived.

Also in October 2019, a New York Times story reported that Bill met with Epstein several times and once stayed late at his townhouse in New York.

Epstein killed himself in jail in August 2019, where he was awaiting further serious sex charges.
