McDonald’s has announced it will not impose surcharges for egg products, in contrast to other chains like Waffle House, which recently implemented a 50-cent surcharge per egg due to a nationwide egg shortage exacerbated by bird flu.

To attract consumers, the chain will offer Egg McMuffins for $1 through its app on March 2, coinciding with National Egg McMuffin Day.
