Remember when Lady Gaga’s dogs were dognapped two years ago, and she said she would pay a $500,000 reward for anyone that could lead to her getting her pets back?  Well, the truth of what happened was really bizarre and scandalous. Gaga got her dogs back, but the woman who feels she deserves the reward hasn’t seen a penny of it.

It was February 2021 when Gaga’s dog walker Ryan Fischer was shot while he was walking her three French bulldogs, and the assailants stole two of those dogs named Koji and Gustav. Gaga was devastated and offered half a million dollars for the safe return of her beloved pooches.

A few months later, cops arrested five people, including a woman named Jennifer McBride — she was the woman who returned the dogs safe and sound. She claims she found them and turned them over to police shortly after the robbery. But the detectives dug a little deeper and later found out McBride had a relationship with the father of one of the suspects arrested.

McBride pleaded no contest to a single count of receiving stolen property and got two years probation. The guy who shot the dog walker, James Howard Johnson, received a 21-year prison sentence.

Here’s the story’s best part: McBride is now suing the pop star! The woman involved in the caper is now trying to take Gaga to court for what she calls “making a promise without intent to perform.” She believes she was “defrauded.”

I’m no Roger Cossack or Dan Abrams, but I’m thinking she might have a problem winning this lawsuit.
