Major investor and “Shark Tank” star Kevin O’Leary made some bold yet truthful statements towards blue states and democratic officials, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY, whom he claimed to be “great at killing jobs.”
O’Leary made a special appearance on “CNN This Morning” discussing the current state of the United States economy as job cuts continues to surface, laying off employees but the latest U.S. jobless claim numbers say otherwise, showing positive signs regarding low joblessness.
During the interview, the business mogul said that the blue states in the U.S. are “un-investable” thanks to regulations enacted by politicians.
Aiming particularly towards AOC, O’Leary said, “She is great at killing jobs. She kills jobs by the thousands. Where did Amazon take their jobs? They took them away from her. She threatened to sue them if they created jobs.”
“That’s New York. Un-investable,” he declared, adding, “Sorry, don’t shoot the messenger. Just telling you the way it is.”
As Co-anchor Kaitlin Collins mentioned there being pushback from the elected officials on factors like overtaxing successful people, O’Leary shot back saying, “I’ll debate them anytime of the day you want, particularly AOC.”
He then calls out “The Squad” member’s economic policies on air, saying, “She’s great at killing jobs. She kills jobs by the thousands.”
When addressing the current state of the economy and U.S. jobless numbers, O’Leary responded that the numbers combined with a 4% unemployment rate, makes for an “extraordinary economy” in which “we’re hiring every day, and we’re competing every day.”
AOC remains under heavy scrutiny from the House of Ethics Committee for her delay in reimbursing clothing and expense vendors associated with her 2021 Met Gala participation look.
