Want to know a great way to get CNN ad MSNBC to flat-out ignore you — even if you are one of the most successful authors in the history of the world? For James Patterson, it was making the police look heroic in his latest novel.

Wow. Pretty sad but easy to believe in the current media climate. Patterson could be on the Mount Rushmore of writing since he’s sold over 420 million books in his career. He made history by being the first ever to sell 1 million e-books. So he’s got some credentials.

The new book is called “Walk the Blue Line.” Patterson is certain that because his hero cops save the day in the pages, the two low-rated liberal cheerleading news networks wanted nothing to do with him.

Here’s what he told Doug Brunt, a podcast host on SiriusXM.

“I had no trouble getting on Fox. But I couldn’t get on CNN or MSNBC.”

Another thing Patterson noticed that was out of the ordinary for an OG like him was that after decades of great reviews and adulation, what do you know, tons of negative reviews on Amazon for this book.

“The publisher noticed on Amazon, most of the views are great, but all of a sudden you see the thing, it’s slipping down to four stars. And what’s happened is, a bunch of people are going on there who haven’t read the book, and they just put one star down. It just goes to this whole political thing.”

Here’s the crazy thing the producers and execs at CNN and MSNB who refused to book him. He’s friends with Bill Clinton. He’s not really a political lightning rod.
