If Florida governor Ron DeSantis isn’t experienced in dirty politics, he is getting a crash course from Donald Trump. According to DT, DeSantis cried when he asked the former prez for his endorsement in the 2018 Florida race for governor.
Trump gave him the endorsement and then said it was because of him that DeSantis won his election. More specifically, Trump said DeSantis would be working in a pizza parlor if he didn’t give him his blessing.
This all came out as Sean Hannity of Fox News interviewed Trump. He said he only knew him because he was one of the Republicans that defended Trump during his impeachment hearings.
Here’s what Trump said happened next.
“So what happened with Ron is the following, He came to see me, he was getting killed, he was being crushed. Adam Putnam it was over. Ron came to see me, tears in his eyes,’ the ex-president continued. ‘He said, ‘I need you to do me a big favor.’ I said, ‘What’s the favor?’ ‘Would you endorse me? I fought for you.”
Trump said in the interview that DeSantis would not have won his primary without Trump’s help, and if he ran against Trump, it would be “disloyal.”
Another thing Hannity got from Trump was details about his reported sexual encounter with Stormy Daniels. Trump said the idea of having an affair with her was fake news.
