“It’s a Miracle!”

The mother and child are in great health and doing well.

A family in India feels incredibly blessed after their newborn arrived safely and soundly.

The parents of the newborn baby say they have been blessed by the gods after giving birth to a “miracle” baby with two pairs of extra limbs.

The baby girl arrived this past weekend, weighing 6.5 pounds and with a few extra limbs.

The baby’s mother, Kareena, is from Hardoi city in the state of Uttar Pradesh, according to South West News Service.

The additional limbs were found attached to the newborn’s stomach and doctors at Shahabad Community Health Centre are declaring the baby and mother to be in healthy condition.

The Newborn was diagnosed with “Polymelia”

The name of the condition the baby was born with is called polymelia.

🇬🇷 LINGUISTICS:  In Greek, “poly” means “many,” and “melia” means “limbs.”

The congenital disorder results in additional, unusable arms, legs, hands, or feet which typically appear miniature in size and oddly shaped.

Some cases may arise out of conjoined twin scenarios, where one twin’s development fails and is largely consumed by the surviving one, leaving a few limbs attached to the newborn.

The Indian Goddess, “Lakshmi”

The newborn is being called the reincarnation of the Hindu goddess, “Lakshmi”

The baby is being praised as a “miracle of nature” and has even gathered a religious following by those who believe the baby may be a reincarnation of the 4-armed Hindu goddess Lakshmi.

The Indian goddess, “Lakshmi,” is a ruler of wealth, beauty, fertility, fortune, power, and prosperity.
