Think things are perfect being the richest person in the world? Hardly. In fact, Elon Musk said he faces a significant risk of being assassinated.

He commented on a Twitter Spaces discussion, and the topic was pretty dark, with Musk saying flat out that he faces a risk to his personal safety because of his commitment to fair speech on Twitter and his releasing of internal communications from what led up to the 2020 Presidential election regarding Hunter Biden’s laptop computer.

“Frankly the risk of something bad happening or literally even being shot is quite significant. I’m definitely not going to be doing any open-air car parades, let me put it that way.”

Musk made the point that what he is doing regarding his fight for truly free speech is something that not many people have fought so hard for.

“Throughout history, free speech has been highly unusual, not common. So we have to fight really hard to keep that because it’s such a rare thing, and it’s by no means something that’s default; Controlled speech is the default, not free speech.”

It’s going to be a big week, with Musk promising to release more info on what was happening at Twitter before he took over. The revelations are going to upset and expose a lot of powerful people.

He said that files at Twitter show that it acted as an arm of the Democratic National Committee leading up to the 2020 election. He wants all that info out for the public to see, and he’s planning on releasing it.

All of this is going to put a target on him. Literally, he says.

“It’s not that hard to kill me if somebody wanted to, so hopefully, they don’t.”
