Kamala Harris probably didn’t expect the Vice President’s official residence at the Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C., would have a bus stop in front of it.  But Thursday morning, it did indeed, as two migrant buses sent to her home from Del Rio, Texas, arrived.

Over 100 people were sent by Texas Governor Greg Abbott, and on board were migrants from Venezuela, Columbia, Mexico, and Uruguay.

Why the VP’s private residence? Simple. She said on Sunday during an interview that the border dividing Texas and Mexico was closed.  The migrants were asked by reporters after they got off the bus if that was true, and they said the opposite was true, which is what most rational people know to be true.

A White House pool reporter asked Harris if she had a comment on her comment and the fact that 100 migrants pulled up to her house, and she blew the reporter off.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is employing the same strategy of dropping off illegal immigrants in progressive states.  He directed two planes full of migrants to land at Martha’s Vineyard, which undoubtedly caused quite the stir.

Harris was on “Meet the Press” on Sunday, the anniversary of 9-11.  Host Chuck Todd asked her if the border was secure, and she spun the question into a political blame game against Donald Trump.

Here is part of what she said on the show.

“The border is secure, but we also have a broken immigration system, in particular, over the last four years before we came in, and it needs to be fixed.”

Abbott is getting his point across, it seems. He’s literally sent dozens of buses into blue states, giving city and state leaders an up-close look at the crisis at the border.

Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser declared a public emergency last week over the convoy of buses streaming in from Texas and Arizona.
