President Joe Biden is looking to put a halt to a longstanding tradition. He feels former President Donald Trump should not be on the receiving end of intelligence briefings like other former presidents have always been.  The reason? Erratic behavior Biden told CBS News.  He added for good measure that Trump was “Unfit to be president.”

When asked point blank if Trump should receive the briefings, Biden told Norah O’Donnell “I think not.  Because of his erratic behavior unrelated to the insurrection.”

Biden then confirmed to the reporter that in the past he has called Trump “dangerous,” “reckless” and an “existential threat.”

The President then added, “I just think that there is no need for him to have the intelligence briefings. What value is giving him an intelligence briefing? What impact does he have at all, other than the fact he might slip and say something?”

O’Donnell also asked Biden how he would have voted in Trump’s Senate impeachment trial coming up next week.  He didn’t answer specifically, saying he was focused on getting his coronavirus aid package passed.  “Look, I ran like hell to defeat him because I thought he was unfit to be president. I’ve watched what everybody else watched, what happened when that crew invaded the United States Congress. But I’m not in the Senate now. I’ll let the Senate make that decision,” Biden said.

Palm Beach, Florida, home of Mar-a-Lago and Trump’s new full-time residence post presidency is almost 1,000 miles due south of Washington, D.C.  Despite that distance, it sure seems like Trump is still in the heads of many of his former rivals.
