Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel is a serious sport show that focuses on journalistic integrity, so we will assume what they report is accurate.  Having said that, brace yourself for what they revealed this week on their latest episode; Jake Paul made $45 boxing in 2021, making him the highest-paid boxer in the world.

All of his wins were against washed-up UFC fighters, but because Paul is a master promoter with 70 million social media followers, he knows how to sell a pay-per-view fight, and he made a fortune doing just that as he upped his career record to 5-0.

Ironically, Paul’s brother Logan has also segued into celebrity fighting, with not as much financial success as his baby bro. He famously fought Floyd Mayweather, surviving for all ten rounds, but according to Logan, he has yet to be paid for his efforts, claiming the entire pay-per-view purse has been held on to be Mayweather.

Jake Paul will be back in the ring sometime in 2022, though no opponent has been named yet.  He seems to have his eyes set on 43-yeard old retired UFC fighter Michael Bisping, who would fit the profile of a typical Paul foe.  Someone old, out of the game, irrelevant as a fighter, and willing to cash a big check to make sure the record of the star of the show remains pristine.
