Making a stupid decision Can Be Quite Expensive.

Here’s an excellent example of why greed, bad choices, and for this guy’s sake, hopefully, something else that must have messed with his judgment doesn’t mix.  An unidentified gambler made a wager that defies logic —- and it cost him over a million dollars.

On Saturday night, the Los Angeles Chargers were playing against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL Playoffs, and LA cruised to a massive 27-0 first-half lead thanks to a boatload of mistakes by the Jags.

At this point, the gambler had an idea — he decided to make a bet that if it came through, it would pay him $11,200. Now that’s a good haul if you drop a couple of hundred bucks on a five or six-team parlay. It’s not as wise when you spend 1.4 million dollars on a bet that pays you .8 of your total wager.

If you didn’t watch the game, let me assure you that the second half was a different story.  The Jaguars fought back and won the game 31-30 on a last-second, game-winning field goal.

This wealthy gambler dropped $1.4 million on a bet that he lost in crushing fashion.

It’s hard to feel too sorry for him — I mean, dude – have you not followed the history of the Chargers in the playoffs? Were you unaware of Chargers’ coach Brandon Staley’s ability to lose big leads?
