What do you do if you are Fyre Festival fraudster Billy McFarland after being publicly ridiculed in two separate documentaries and serving four years in prison for scamming hundreds of people into attending a bogus music festival?

I guess you reinvent yourself with a new event and hope there are enough suckers out there with short memories.

McFarland posted a video on his TikTok page teasing an event that everybody is invited to.

What is it? Billy Mac says it’s a way for him to make amends for his previous crimes. In the video, he showed a cryptic map that appeared to be a treasure map located in the Caribbean. He teased the fact that more details would be revealed in November.

How exciting!

He started the video in front of a whiteboard, alluding to the fact that he screwed a lot of people out of a lot of money.

“As you might know, I f***ed around. And because of that, I definitely found out.

Obviously, I’ve had a little too much time to think about this, but I do feel that the moment’s right to start making this up to everybody.”

At this point, sane people should be running for cover, hiding their wallets as they do so.

New, he dramatically flips the whiteboard over, and the map is revealed.

“You might have guessed, but I’m working on something new. This time it’s a little crazier but a whole lot bigger than anything I’ve ever tried before. I promise I’m going to tell you everything in November, but before we get there, there’s one thing you need to know now. This time, everybody’s invited.”

I’m going to make a little prediction here. My guess is that in 5-7 years, this video will be a big part of the next documentary that will be produced on McFarland’s “events.”
