On Wednesday, Jeff Bezos spent the day at Disneyland with his girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez. On Saturday night, he accused Joe Biden of having less knowledge of basic economic fundamentals than Goofy.

Clearly, with nobody has been assigned to read Biden’s tweets before he hits send, or they started their holiday weekend early because Biden pushed this gem out on the official @POTUS account.

“My message to the companies running gas stations and setting prices at the pump is simple: this is a time of war and global peril. Bring down the price you are charging at the pump to reflect the cost you’re paying for the product. And do it now.”

Quite the threat he threw on at the end of the message.

After earlier blaming Putin, Trump, and oil companies for the rising gas prices crushing consumers in the U.S., Biden apparently had the owners of gas stations on his hit list next.

Intelligent people who have a firmer grasp on the basics of capitalism pounced on Biden, including Bezos.  He responded to Biden’s tweet with this.

“Ouch. Inflation is far too important a problem for the White House to keep making statements like this. It’s either straight ahead misdirection or a deep misunderstanding of basic market dynamics.”

Biden and Bezos have been taking shots at each other for months. But it’s not just the former Amazon CEO who has ripped the Biden administration for their handling of the economy.  Economists, CEOs, and Wall Street see the writing on the wall of an upcoming recession, and many are unafraid to point out the Federal government’s shortcomings.
