Sometimes little nuggets of news, like buying a $36.8 million crib, get lost when you are busy winning an NBA Championship, being named MVP, and getting into regular spats with the Leader of the Free World. LeBron James was able to move directly from a Disney World hotel suite in Orlando into a Mediterranean-esque villa in L.A. that has been owned by an A-list of Old Hollywood stars, including Charles Boyer, Howard Hughes and Katharine Hepburn.

The compound has one of the most massive driveway gates in Los Angeles and enough security to protect a royal family — which, I guess when you call yourself “King James,” you kind of are.

Since James has a lot of friends, the property has two detached guesthouses. Not to mention multiple el fresco dining options, to stay safe during the pandemic, and a lighted tennis court in case he wants to learn how to dominate another sport.

Views, anyone? Yeah, this place has them, spectacular soaring views of the L.A. skyline, the Pacific Ocean and all the way to Catalina.

Hopefully James can enjoy this house. It’s one of three mega-mansions he owns in Los Angeles, and it won’t be his primary residence.

To quote James from an episode of “Entourage” in 2009, when he was talking with Vinny Chase, who was about to fly to Italy on a private jet: “Good Livin!”
