Gina Carano may not be interested in a return to the “Star Wars” TV series, “The Mandalorian,” but that hasn’t stopped her fans from urging Disney to reconsider Carano’s dismissal via petition.

Lucasfilm announced last Wednesday it fired the actress and former MMA fighter over her social media activity, which included an Instagram story post comparing the current U.S. political climate to Nazi Germany.

Disney’s streaming service Disney+ carries “The Mandalorian.”

A collection of fans, on Change.org, is pressing Lucasfilm and Disney to keep politics out of their artistic decisions and reinstate Carano.

“I’m not going to say she was right or wrong with her views, but firing celebrities over their political views has been happening way too often, and once again, Hollywood has struck down another conservative,” the petition reads. “What she said may have been a little extreme, and I can even see why some people may have been offended, but her tweet was not made to incite violence or to express discrimination or hatred of any sort to any particular group.”

Carano played Cara Dune in a total of seven episodes of “The Mandalorian” in 2019 and 2020, and there were indications of her candidacy for a spin-off called “Rangers of the New Republic.”

As of Tuesday afternoon, the petition had more than 23,000 signatures.

Carano doesn’t appear interested in returning, however. A report from Deadline said Carano is now partnering with Ben Shapiro’s The Daily Wire on a movie project.

“The Daily Wire is helping make one of my dreams — to develop and produce my own film — come true … ” Carano said in a statement. “They can’t cancel us if we don’t let them.”
