Former President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he has agreed to three debates with three different networks next month and is now waiting on Vice President Kamala Harris to confirm the arrangement. According to Trump, “fairly full agreements” have been set for September 4 with Fox News, September 10 with NBC, and September 25 with ABC.
“We have spoken to the heads of the networks and it’s all been confirmed other than some fairly minor details,” Trump said during a press conference at Mar-a-Lago. “The other side has to agree to the terms,” he added, referring to the Harris campaign. “They may or may not agree. I don’t know. She hasn’t done an interview. She can’t do an interview. She’s barely competent. She can’t do an interview, but I look forward to the debates because we have to set the record straight.”

Trump’s announcement follows weeks of drama surrounding a debate between himself and Harris since she took over as the Democratic nominee. ABC had previously scheduled a debate between Trump and President Joe Biden on September 10, but plans for that event were thrown into disarray when Biden exited the race.
