Joe Biden and his administration have a plan for the disaster that is the out-of-control southern border problem, which doesn’t appear to be a good one. And it certainly isn’t popular.

He’s planning on having U.S. air marshals leave their posts on commercial flights and head to the southern border of the United States to try to restore order because of the shortage of Border Patrol Agents.

That is not going over well with marshals who, according to reports, are planning to “mutiny” against the order.

Not only that, but if this short-sighted plan were put into motion, it would leave the commercial flights staffed with 1/8th the normal amount of marshals that should be on planes.

The marshals are very serious about this. It is not a threat or bluff, they are facing termination, and it doesn’t seem to faze many of them, according to Air Marshal National Council President David Londo.  Here’s what he told the Washington Examiner.

“The rank and file air marshals are going to refuse to deploy and risk termination. You’re almost going to have a mutiny of a federal agency, which is unheard of. Morale is so destroyed from this.  I’ve never seen anything like this.”

TSA, The Transportation Security Administration, said in a statement that Londo is not telling the truth, claiming it is “entirely inaccurate and does not reflect the critical and professional law enforcement role these officers perform.”

A year ago, team Biden asked marshals to volunteer for 30 days at the border to process migrants.  Now they want to make it mandatory.

So, to recap. We could leave our airplanes vulnerable to attack with a fraction of air marshals on board flights. And our southern border will have unmotivated and inexperienced agents trying to keep drugs and illegal immigrants from entering the U.S.

Sounds awesome.
